Or people analyzing Musou without having an idea, or analyzing DRPG when they do not like it. Only that they are paid to analyze these things, others do it for free. |

So, can anyone explain the Sony product placement in this episode, i.e. the Sony earbud that Karen is listening to on her flight to Hokkaido? I understand why Sony product placement is in the rest of SAO, (Sony owns Aniplex who owns A-1 pictures) but what's it doing here? Do you figure there was something about it in 3Hz's contract? |

So i realized zekken is mentioned at the karaoke , is this yuuki ? This make me wonder when this happen , is this anime happen altogether when kirito enter ggo or what ? Or this zekken is not yuuki? All of these ppls in this show is crazy except the one who introduce karen to ggo , she is just the usual otaku girl And there’s actually no enemy here , its just pito with her obsession and M with his crazy love . If llen hadnt met there would be no real story |

Btw, Goushi hasn't told Karen yet how he found her. Though I'm suspecting the black car maybe has something to do with it? The car pretty much stuck out. |

I can't be the only one that thinks the part with Karen and Goushi and the setup of the death game level stakes is soooooo stupid and ridiculous that the author is actually being self aware here? The whole scene just has one too many witty remarks from Karen about the sanity of Pito and M, over the top out bursts from M, and general quips about the overall ridiculousness of the situation that there is just no way this is meant to be taken with the same gravity as the original SAO's death game premises. I really cannot read this as anything other than the author nudging the audience from behind the scenes and telling us to laugh along with him at the stupidity of it all. |

"I hate coffee, especially black coffee because it makes my stomach churn. But Pito loves coffee, so I drink it too." WTF So Pito and M are complete nutjobs who wants some DESS in their life. So Pito, M, and their friends will team up. Karen is going to team up with Miyu, but I was expecting her to ask the Gymnastics club girls to be part of her team. But you can only have 7 members in a team max...Eh, well we know how this is going to turn out. Squad Jam 2 is going to come down to LLENN and Pito being the last ones standing, and then they duke it out. Welp, here we go... |

Ziirf said: BlackAlpha said: M never did tell Karen how he found her lol He is a stalker, how else would it be possible to explain it? Remember that letter Karen wrote to her favorite singer, Kanzaki Elsa? She pretty much told her "I am LLENN" if Kanzaki was watching that tournament. The letter had her name, her address and the fact she is the tallest person around. With this much, it's not that hard to find Karen. One just has to sit in front of her apartment house and talk to every tall girl that passes by. As long as M is in the position to read Kanzaki Elsa's mail (like being her boyfriend), it all makes sense. Noumu said: So if a piece of equipment gets destroyed it doesn't get restored after the match but instead you have to get a new one? That's some horrendous game design right here. Sigsawa Keiichi might know one or two things about guns but he clearly doesn't know anything about MMORPGs. That's just the way it was in the original SAO's "Bullet of Bullets" arc. Items have their durability restored after the fight, but destroyed items don't respawn. This kind of mechanic is called "money sink", and from what I heard about Eve Online, it works fine. (Eve Online is often discussed in this context because one can convert the values of these destroyed giant space fleets to real-world money) Suffering_Desu said: So, can anyone explain the Sony product placement in this episode, i.e. the Sony earbud that Karen is listening to on her flight to Hokkaido? Lol ofc LLENN would buy P-chan again. So we got to see M outside of GGO. Hilarious how he does that wall shove lol But overall surprised Pitohui wasn’t in the final version of SAO. Tbh it would have been interestng to see where she would stand out. 2nd Squad Jam hype. Tbh I like how the action has been quite a bit. We just finished one tournament and another is approaching. |

I just want to say I appreciated how mature Karen was during the whole exchange with M. She was aware everything he was saying about himself and Pito were just batshit crazy and when he did a kabedon on her she didn't blush, get flustered, nor did she overreact at all(did show she was shocked but still remained calm) and knew when he said love it was about Pito. Which is exactly how mature a person in college is by not overreacting nor misunderstanding every little thing like kids. Just love the little details like this which separates from the usual MC which are like highschoolers or kids. |

I had a feeling that LLENN would buy the P-90 again and her reaction to seeing one available was really amusing. She's too attached to it, but that only makes her cuter. =3 This episode was mostly just to build-up towards the second Squad Jam event, but it was still interesting to see her with the school girls she fought in the first Squad Jam and getting along really well. M's real self looked calm, but he's not right in the head, since his love for Pitohui is overwhelmingly strong. Pitohui used to play SAO as a beta tester, but she missed out on being stuck in that game. I would be relieved if I was her, but she REALLY wanted to be stuck in that game, to fully experience a true "life or death" game that she craved for. I know this is stating the obvious, but she's a complete wacko. ^^; I'm looking forward to seeing how the Second Squad Jam goes, with Karen calling her friend in Hokkaido for help. I think her friend's GGO character must be the blond-haired grenade girl in the OP animation, I'm guessing. =) |

It's funny that all avatars are completely opposite to their real self. A great episode, but not enough of some small details from novel. For example, when Pito was in a state of crazyness (when she heard about what was happening in the Sword art ), she broke M several fingers and a couple of ribs. In conversation(recap episode), she just not only talk with M . but beat him too. In any case, Karen just lovely. |

SAO GGO is back (after 1 week of hiatus) and i love it.. karen able to talk to the group of female student where she have fight in the finals of SJ1... And now here comes the real exciting part, the SJ 2, where Asougi (M) went to Karen (LLenn) just to invite her joining the SJ2 and kill Pito... and now Karen will be teaming up with her friend in upcoming sj 2 cant wait for that one.. And Pito is a sAO Loser? Loser in a way that she didnt participate in the real sAO (where kirito played with). I cant believe that someone is so sad that they didnt played in that death game... this girl sure loves some real action. 😂😂😂 SJ 2 im so excited about it!!! |

I hate the stakes they are working into this, this show doesn't need the threat of death to be entertaining, hoping for a swerve on that and perhaps it's just M being a weird idiot, but at least another squad jam will be fun. |

Seeing ikemen M with his coffee scene and kabedon scene here was hilarious for the second time. Karen experienced a kabedon love confession but not to her its confessed to another person. MegaMeo said: After watching the subs, i realize that that i was right at almost everything except Pito wasn't a survivor _ There is a fact that people still could log in SAO even during that death game, but they would become SAO's new prisoners so of course no one dared to do that except for Merida, one of the first members of Sleeping Knight, she appeared in a side story called Sister's Prayer; and PoH, he was a hitman and he logged in SAO to kill a target Iirc from the main sao novel nervegears are confiscated by the Japanese government, though I'm not sure if Pito's nevergear is confiscated. If it is not, Pito can't still login to SAO, because she had an important business to do at that time and its a once in a lifetime oppurtunity according to M, so I guess she have no time login and become one of the SAO prisoner for years. _ So Karen's friend had a duel with Zekken, aka my bezt girl Yuuki, what a nice reference, lol I think that referencing went far, iirc from the novel she didn't mention her name Zekken but instead just said about Zekken's original sword skill and she goes on a lot of duel in ALO, but Miyu didn't mentioned that she got a duel with her. Though, not so big deal for me, so I have no complaints about that. I'm still happy for not omitting out Yukki's reference. |

So like, wow... They really ramped up the psycho melodrama, this episode. Pito's effing crazy, M is effing crazy. Is their need to recapture the literal life and death game that occurred in the original SAO really necessary? Could it be that the only reason that's even a part of this story, is because that is what SAO is most commonly known for? And, really, what's the bloody point of it all? Just to see Karen whoop their asses, only to have it revealed -- in all likelihood -- that Pito is this singer we keep hearing about, in real life? I dunno, man... I like this show, but the cray-cray is getting even thicker than the worst aspects of SAO proper, at this point. |

They said that pitohui got pretty Trashy_anime_lov said: I think that Photo is Elsa Kanzaki (the singer) as her concert days match up exactly with the days she is unable to log in to the game. That's why she wasn't able to be in the first Squad Jam and why M finds her power over his life so intimidating! The guy also said that pitohui became pretty successful after not being trapped in Sao. So being a famous singer probably fits that too? |

Some MMORPGs use a "damage system" as a money sink but in these cases you can just go to the dedicated NPC and restore it back to normal for a small fee which isn't even needed in GGO since stuff like ammunition would make for a much better money sink anyways. |

In the original SAO (the novel) it was clearly stated that Death Gun's sniper rifle and Sinon's scope were permanently lost after that shootout. Well, it was still possible for Sinon to get a new scope, and Death Gun is unlikely to ever access that account anyway, so it wasn't that much of a loss. Also yes, items in GGO have durability, and need to be repaired. But if they run out of durability, they're completely destroyed. GGO is, in general, quite fanciful for a MMO, maybe because it's the future and the developers could pull that off. Finally, grenades don't seem to create problems with equipment durability for some reason. Maybe it's because they just kill the PCs and the game doesn't bother calculating damage to the equips. Seriously, if you tend to think about stuff seriously, go read the books. The books take care to explain little things like that, anime adaptations are more about pantyshots and explosions. |

So... the enemies in the last episode turn out to be little schoolgrils and LLENN is bigger than them... Lol they arel so much different from the game. M is the MVP in this episode though... Scared to get killed by Pitou but he loves Pitou though lmao... That "closed face" and "wall-slamming" with "I love Pitou" confession were priceless... Idk if Pitou is like what M said, although some parts that I could see that fitting Pitou well... Seems like LLENN's real life friend isn't amateur |

This episode really shows just how great the writing is. I would have never thought that an SAO show would actually give good backstories and reasonable motives for characters doing things. The girls in the gymnastic club along with M and Pito have as much or more backstory than any character in the first two seasons of SAO. It just goes to show that SAO can be an amazing series if you just add good writing. I love how we have antagonists (Pito and M aren't really antagonists, I'm just calling them that for a lack of a better word) that actually have motives. I mean, the Death Gun crew was just killing because they wanted to and Kayaba really had no reason either except because. But Pito actually has motivation in how she is clinically insane and basically adores death. M has his reasoning in how he is completely in love with Pito (although this is obviously extremely unhealthy for him) and doesn't care about anything but doing what Pito enjoys. It's an easy motive to use but it works really well here. In my opinion, how M idolizes Pito draws a nice parallel to how Toga idolizes Stain in My Hero Academia. Anyway, good episode overall. Way better than the last and I think it gives the show good forward moment going into the next few episodes. I also loved how we learned more about the supporting characters. I can actually relate to some of the characters and I like how each of them had a good reason for playing and incidentally getting hooked on GGO. Can't wait for next week's episode! |

And finally, Fukaziroh will make her appearance next episode. Also P-chan is back. DAT ASS thou. This is just my speculation, but I wonder if Pito is Elsa Kanzaki. I mean, it would make sense because M was saying how successful she was at her job. Plus, Karen had wrote Elsa a letter telling her about GGO and how her character's name was LLENN. If Pito is truly Elsa, then she would know LLENN is Karen as well as where she lives from the address on the envelope. From there, either she could have told M where she lived or he mighta saw the letter and went to the address after he read it (I'm guessing the postage requirements are the same in Japan as they are in the US but I'm not sure). Also, Elsa had a concert when SJ was and Pito couldn't play due to non-reschedulable plans and if this is the case, it mighta been the same scenario when she wanted to buy SAO but couldn't go due to non-reschedulable plans as well. Of course, M is obviously a bit crazy so he coulda always just done a crapload of digging and somehow found it all out. I personally think Elsa is Pito and thats how M knew, it just all fits into place and seems too coincidental to not be the case. |

If you wanna read the connections I have a post either directly or a little bit higher than this one. I don't know if its actually the case, but it does make a lot of sense. |

Yeah, I have a feeling Pito is Elsa as well; I had a hunch a few episodes ago that that was the case... I'm only confused about how people are recognising one another in real life I.e. M and those schoolgirls |

this series did so well not having SAO's plot convenience nonsense and this episode completely ruined that... For example how did M actually find Karen? also what difference does dying at LLEENN's hand make to Pito? surely its the same either way... |

"UNEXPERIENCED" at decent (does not even scratch decent here) storytelling to be able to ask such profoundly stupid questions. Here. Let me help you. Karen wrote a retarded letter to Elsa Kanzaki, who is STRANGELY PUTTING UP CONCERTS WHEN PITOHUI CAN'T PLAY THE GAME and suddenly a person affiliated with PITOHUI FINDS HER THROUGH HER LETTER DETAILS. Does it sound "nonsense" enough? There is "plot convenience", and there is "inferior awareness". There is no need to insult others for one's own faults. As for the second question, Elsa Kanzaki promised to meet with Karen is Karen was to defeat Pitohui as LLENN. A promise between women. Meaning she would not outright commit to her insanity. Seriously, are you even understanding what you see? I am viewing with subtitles, and it lies into my mind with ease. English subtitles. |

Ockham's razor theory of what's happened with the existing info only from the anime. So M/Goushi Asougi is most likely an obsessive fan of Pito, who is the singer Elsa Kanzaki , and found out who LLENN/Karen Kohiruimaki was from her fan letter return address(a normal thing to have on a letter) and that LLENN told M that she participated because she missed Elsa's concert in episode 3 because Fukaziroh(the character dual wielding grenade launchers)/Miyu Shinohara couldn't get the tickets. Pito's other motivation for sponsoring(mentioned in episode 5.5 by Pito) is to fight LLENN, WOW the Writer was excellent at foreshadowing M meeting LLENN in real life with Miyu's statement that Hardcore gamers are real weirdos. |

You might have missed it, but Pito promised LLENN that they would meet IRL of LLENN kills her in-game. The way M sees it, this promise would outweigh Pito's decision to kill herself after the 2nd Squad Jam. |

As someone was stupid enough to "spoil" it from the source, in the animation they omitted details as when Elsa got angry the first time she kicked M around and broke him some ribs, which means he actually is close to her. |

The only thing I can think of for the schoolgirls would be be the pink P90 charm Karen had on her bag, but its so small and kinda far-fetched they'd recognize it. There isn't even a half-baked explanation for M lmao. I suppose the only option is he sat there and asked everyone who walked in, but it didn't seem like he was doing that when he met her. |
