| I accept Mikasa as my new MC, the flashback was sad because it reminded me of the previous MC Eren, but I'm willing to move on from him now jk I only wish Armin was different visually, I'm also blonde but I would prefer him dark haired, meh it's just a personal quirk, I love this show anyway |

| i don't see how anyone can complain about this series...unless they read the manga, which usually means they're one of those people "the book was better" To each their own. I love this series so much that I plan on picking up the manga. |

If you don't enjoy this series' epicness, then the faults appear. For the most part, us manga readers were pleased with the anime (episode 25 an exception). Oh and yes, pick up the manga once you finish the season. Start at chapter 33. |

| I'd probably end up liking it much more if the main character was not an absolute ass though.... The irony of his principles most be the comic relief of this show.... To quote Eren: "Mankind is at stake here, no one gives a fuck about what you want!" Your selfish desires to annihilate the Titans led to Armin's close death, and your unyielding desire to be led by emotion cost you a a leg, and an arm...and it's quite possible next episode to find out you led your squad entirely to it's destruction. Yeah I sound like a dick now, but his attitude was the exact same before his mother's death. If I was more of a dick, I would also express the desire for him to have died in his mother's place, but I won't go that far.... As for the overall plot it's a really awesome show, the problem is that I get the feeling Eren will not change, and will probably end up being the only reason I won't be able to enjoy this show enough to give it a 10, because i think besides the schmuck main character, this anime is absolutely on point. |

| This is the best episode so far since it explored characters, as cliched and contrived as the backstory was.. I mean, how did Eren even find her before the military police in the first place? And I still don't get why that big titan waited 5 years to break the wall.. If there even is a reason for it. I still don't know if I am supposed to take the story seriously, or does everything happen here because whatever? |
| Actually I think this is the best episode so far. I didn't feel emotion with the previous ones but this one pulled me in to the backstory. |

| This is old news, but I really just wanna state my love and adoration for the flashback's adaptation. 'Specially the part where Mikasa turned on her fighting instincts and the camera did a turn-a-round or whatever it's called (too tired to think mannn). |

| Episode was awesome! Mikasa defeated that Titan like a boss! I love the backstory for both Mikasa and Eren, that scene where Mikasa's parents got killed was chilling. And boy when Eren was stabbing that guy over and over it gave me extreme chills. Mikasa is a badass killing that guy like that! Very nice episode. Onto the next one! |

| Awww, poor Armin. I can't believe what happened to Mikasa's family, and that they kidnapped her, I didn't expect that. Plus she got her nice scarf from Eren after he saved her by being a badass killing those guys and she killed one. |

| I liked the part where they killed the child traffickers, though the part where Mikasa was monologuing internally about the world being a cruel place, etc. was kind of melodramatic. The part with the running Titan was by far the biggest laugh I've had watching this show so far, so 5/5. |

| Watching this for the 21313217th time. I still think this is the strongest episode of the first quarter of season 1 (before survery corps). And of course, the haters still baffles me. Like, okay, we get you don't like it, so why don't you just go back to your parents' basement and get out of here. Carry on watching your perfectly drawn hentai with their really interesting plot and shit. |

| I have nor words. This is so amazingly developed. Mikasa super badass in killing that Titan and helping the people to finally get out of the dangerzone. But her past is so sad. I got extremely pissed off when these guys killed her father and mother. I was about to transform into SSJ Blue. Fortunately Elen, even as a kid, rescued her. I was so happy seeing these assholes dying. Now we know the story behind the scarf. That was a super cute moment, especially when Elen said to Mikasa "Let's go home". I had some tears in my eyes when she began to cry ;_; I really can't imagine how she will react to Elens death? because with this episode you know how important he's for her. |

| Lol at the guy with the cart that was to wide to fit through the arch. You'd think he take that into consideration when buying a cart, considering there seems to be only one town in this entire world. Actually, what kind of idiot would build a cart that couldn't even fit in major passage ways in a town anyways? I wonder what was in the cart in the first place. I say cabbages. First time we see someone finally kill a titan, and of course it is Mikasa. Flashback scene showing that Eren has always been unexplainably bloodthristy and crazy. I wonder why Mikasa ancestors had to flee from from their homeland. I think it was a weird choice that they show the mantis eating the butterfly and Mikasa's dad holding a dead duck as symbols for showing the world is cruel, when it was revealed last episode that titans do not kill because they need to eat. Hunting for food really isn't a malicious thing to do.. |
