I havent got a clue all these big numbers are.....I like lateral thinking, not maths! 
The answer to mine was that the barberwith the crap shop and messy hair HAD to have had his hair cut at the other barbers - they 2 barbers cut each others hair
so basically the bloke returned back to the crappy shop to get a good hair cut...

ok, I found this one in my psychology textbook.
it's called the Hanoi tower problem. you've got three vertical rods next to each other. the one on the left has 3 disks of different sizes stacked on top of each other, largest on bottom, smallest on top. the object is to get the 3 disks over to the right most vertical rod in 7 moves. you can only move one disk at a time and no larger disk can be placed on top of a smaller one.
...ok, i just looked this up on google. i found an interesting site that has an applet that will let you do it manually. I figured this one out just by looking at the picture in my book, so I didn't have the luxury of being able to physically move them about. but yeah, with this site you can set the number of disks anywhere between 2 and 12.
