En Cuba, aunque el fútbol y otros deportes hayan trepado unos cuantos escalones en el gusto de sus habitantes, no hay dudas de que la pelota (el béisbol) sigue siendo la pasión que más corazones mueve dentro del país.
A pesar de que el béisbol nacional tiene tantos problemas de diversa índole, los fanáticos siguen llenando los estadios, sobre todo cuando a sus equipos les va bien dentro de una campaña. En mi caso, y siendo santiaguero, no me queda más opción que ser fiel seguidor de las Avispas de Santiago de Cuba, de lo contrario podría ser acusado de traidor (aunque traidores se sobran por acá).
Pero bueno, ¿cuál es considerada la mejor afición de todas? No creo que de momento exista un estudio o cosa parecida que defina de forma unánime este problema científico. Lo más probable es que cada equipo o provincia se otorgue ese título para sí mismo. Por tanto, aquí les va mi criterio sobre el asunto.
In Cuba, although soccer and other sports have climbed a few steps in the taste of its inhabitants, there is no doubt that baseball is still the passion that moves more hearts in the country.
Despite the fact that national baseball has so many problems of various kinds, fans continue to fill the stadiums, especially when their teams do well in a campaign. In my case, and being from Santiago de Cuba, I have no choice but to be a faithful follower of the Avispas de Santiago de Cuba, otherwise I could be accused of being a traitor (although there are plenty of traitors around here).
But well, what is considered the best hobby of all? I don't think that at the moment there is a study or something similar that unanimously defines this scientific problem. Most probably, each team or province will grant that title to itself. So, here is my opinion on the matter.
Destaca, dentro de todas las fanaticadas, aquella que probablemente tenga el mayor número de miembros, y no puede ser otra que la de los Leones de la Capital, los Azules, Los Industriales. Como mismo pasa con otros equipos del mundo, los que apoyan a este equipo no solo son los que viven en la región a la que representa el equipo, sino que trasciende más allá de las fronteras provinciales.
Cuándo un fanático industrialista habla de su equipo, pareciese que están hablando sobre dioses del béisbol, defienden y tratan a sus jugadores con ferocidad, aunque los mismos no estén en su mejor momento ofensivo o cometan errores de fildeos cada 5 minutos. No importa para ellos si estuviste en el equipo rival algún día y le diste palos hasta el cansancio (recuerden que en Cuba la liga no es profesional y los traspasos no son muy comunes), si tienes el uniforme azul, eres uno más de ellos.
Ese entusiasmo, en muchas ocasiones importantes, se lo han contagiado al equipo, logrando varias hazañas difíciles de explicar, pero que estoy seguro de que el 90 % ha sido de parte del público. Eso sí, que defiendan a sus jugadores y al equipo en general, no significa que cuando el equipo esté mal, el apoyo en el estadio específicamente sea el mejor. En la televisión se logra ver clarito la escasez de público cuando no es el mejor momento dentro del torneo.
Among all the fans, the one that probably has the largest number of members stands out, and it can be none other than that of the Leones de la Capital, Los Azules, Los Industriales. As it happens with other teams in the world, the supporters of this team are not only those who live in the region that the team represents, but it transcends provincial borders.
When an industrialist fan talks about his team, it seems that they are talking about baseball gods, they defend and treat their players with ferocity, even if they are not at their best offensively or make fielding errors every 5 minutes. It doesn't matter to them if you were on the rival team one day and gave them a hard time (remember that in Cuba the league is not professional and transfers are not very common), if you have the blue uniform, you are one of them.
That enthusiasm, in many important occasions, has been contagious to the team, achieving several feats difficult to explain, but I am sure that 90% has been from the public. Of course, the fact that they defend their players and the team in general, does not mean that when the team is doing badly, the support in the stadium is specifically the best. On TV you can clearly see the scarcity of public when it is not the best moment in the tournament.
Por tanto, los mejores fanáticos para mí son los que representan a los Cachorros de Holguín (o los Sabuesos). En su estadio Calixto García, siempre habrá buena concurrencia. Llueve, truene, estén en el piso o estén en la cima, los entusiastas holguineros apoyarán a su equipo y a sus jugadores, bien pegaditos al terreno y no solo desde el barrio o las redes sociales.
En lo personal, me gustaría que la afición santiaguera(Avispas) fuera como la industrialista, en los aspectos positivos que destaqué, pero también me gustaría que fuera al menos un 1/4 de lo fiel que pueden llegar a ser los holguineros a la hora de asistir al estadio sin importar que nos vaya bien o mal.

Como siempre, nos gusta leerlo, ya que su enfoque siempre está en hacernos reflexionar. En lo particular, no soy fanático de ningún equipo. Si simpatizo y apoyo sus campañas, me compro remera y demás; Pero creo que los fanáticos y más es estos tiempos, están dispuestos a hacer lo que sea por el equipo y eso, muchas veces son armas de doble filo.

Gracias por sus palabras. Por suerte los fanáticos en Cuba somos más tranquilos😅. Muy pocas veces la violencia nos ha dominado. Hay otros lugares sobre todo en Latinoamérica y en el fútbol principalmente que es verdad que los fanáticos han provocado desastres. De hecho el amigo @hosgug nos contó de una reciente en el fútbol argentino.
Yo tengo una mirada distinta querido amigo @palabras1, los fanáticos o mejor dicho exaltados simpatizantes de equipos de fútbol, también llamados "barras bravas", son en general delincuentes que buscan obtener réditos monetarios de sus posiciones de poder obtenidas mediante la violencia y la intolerancia, la simpatía por un determinado club es solo la excusa.
Tienen negocios de todo tipo: reventa de entradas, artículos de su club que son copia de originales, cobro indebido de estacionamiento en la vía pública durante los encuentros de fútbol, asistencia rentada a eventos partidarios, custodia de políticos y otros personajes influyentes.
Tienen por lo tanto cobertura y protección de las comisiones directivas de los clubes, políticos y policía. En definitiva son una organización criminal, una asociación ilícita.
No es muy diferente la visión. Creo que "fanáticos" que describes, son delincuentes y nada tienen que ver, con el verdadero fanático del deporte. Yo me refería, sobre todo a aquellos que defienden a su equipo, en casos indefendibles. Como que no razonan y muchas veces, se van a las manos o mas, por una simple discusión.
