One of the winners of October 2023's sketch suggestions poll, Alopex as she might have looked if she was in the 1980s Ninja Turtles cartoon, along with what I think she might have looked like as an action figure. It all kind of clicked when I had the idea that she could be wearing a leotard. I gave her a flatter, wider head and more deliberately almond-shaped eyes and a cleaner looking face paint pattern that would be easier for animators to reproduce, and more pronounced claws on her feet, since that seems more retro to me. I like retro stuff and I like action figures, so this was fun and something a bit different.
I also did a color version more recently, although I went in a somewhat different direction with that one. I feel like this one does look a bit more retro but when I got around to doing the color version I was experimenting with some new style ideas and it ended up taking on a life of its own. I'm still planning on doing a color version of that retro action figure box, too. :3

I also did a color version more recently, although I went in a somewhat different direction with that one. I feel like this one does look a bit more retro but when I got around to doing the color version I was experimenting with some new style ideas and it ended up taking on a life of its own. For those who don’t know, this is my sketch suggestion idea I pitched to HeresyArt and his patrons on Patreon. Out of all the sketch suggestions I’ve recommended and managed to get a good amount of wins, THIS is, without a doubt, one of my Favorite ideas I’ve ever recommended!
For the longest time, my favorite pic I recommended was “Arctic Beach” because he met my expectations with it. With “Retro Alopex”, he didn’t just meet my expectations, he surpassed them by not only making a pin-up, but also making the mock toy package and figure. That, and I LOVE the Yoga Leotard he came up with her, it looks Perfect on her.
I do wanna give credit to artist StogieGoatArts. I asked him on Discord’s DMs about this pic and asked what he would like to see of Alopex if she was in the 1987 TMNT cartoon.
I hope you guys Love this pic as much as I do! And Heresy, if you see this comment, I just wanted to say, you did an Amazing job on this pic! Thank you for this!
