I feel like Utsuro truly has redeemed herself and learned from all this experience.

The black sphere in Tokyo is gone and so is the battle. I don't think there's an actual "victor" in this battle but more like an learning experience for all the cast involved. This episode also felt kinda sad imo but a decent way to wrap up the arc.

It's finally Mission Complete for the Tokyo Recapture arc, but it will certainly not be the last that the heroes will see of Amamaririku, having captured Kufufu being the sacrifical pawn to send the others back scot-free. At the very least, no innocent lives are lost, and the Tennoji sisters are finally reunited once again, but Mai will not last long because her heart of hatred has been completely shattered, rendering her unable to live any longer. But having witnessed the evil that Stigma has kept within her heart, the heart ring that once sowed evil, is handed to Teru to harness that power for good.

However, the revelation that just before she had succumbed to Amamririku, Mai having witnessed Japan's previous Hero, the Person of Light, Shine, to give her hope within the midst of evil, and as the hero who inherited her will, shining like the lotus at its darkest, is the dream that was once Mai's, handed to Teru. Tokimaru being the crane that looked after her all this while with the bird spirits, Mai entrusting her sister to him is the final departing farewell that she could ever have hoped for.

It's clear that as much as the other heroes had a hand in saving the lives of the innocent, it's Teru at the epicenter of the mission saving her own country out of danger, even as her Shy character returned to her usual nervous wreck, that allows Ai to be able to return back to her village, all relieved that she'll see them again in the future.

Shy's sequel season is a sizable improvement, and it feels a lot more rewarding after the slog that was Season 1.

R.I.P Mai. :(

Anyway, Tokyo is now saved. Good job, everyone!

Well, this was as good as the first season. I think the first two episodes were my favorites before they continued with the main arc. It was both hit and miss.

Anyway, a third season would be great. I'm really going to miss Teru and the others.

Great finale! Man losing 3 of my faves today with this Mayopan and Spice and Wolf, but this season of Shy took everything I loved about season 1 and turned it up a notch. The shinobi arc which people had hyped up to me for a while definitely lived up to the promise.

Bittersweet finale because on one hand I’m so happy and proud for Teru finally getting the attention she deserves from the media who have consistently been nasty and dismissive of her, but on the other I’m gutted for Mai and Ai. I really hoped with all my heart they’d be able to go back to the village together, but I guess once she went to Amarariku that was the end of her life with Ai. At least they got to make up in the end and she went out knowing she was loved by so many people.

In addition to saving the day, Teru also changed the trajectory of the shinobi going forward which is big too. Instead of just hiding in the dark, they can be more like Shine and Shy who bring light to those who are alone and hopeless.

Iko and Teru ship needs to sail in season 3 man they keep teasing us lol. Such a cute ending to the episode, I’m said Ai is leaving too but she was amazing and helped make this season so good. Hopefully one day they can all hangout again ❤️

It's Shyover. As a manga reader, I was more than satisfied with this adaptation (seasons 1 and 2 included ). This season was quite nice, I wish the action looked a bit better, but it was still nice. I really appreciated a lot of the small changes and little additions they did here and there, though I'm not necessarily a fan of all the changes, like deciding to put the Chuuny ghost girl chapter in this arc. I think the anime also did a good job at correcting some of my problems with this arc, it felt less long than in the manga and jumped less from one situation to another.
Doesn't change that this arc is still my least favorite part of Shy, my main problem is still that it feels like the author suddenly wanted to write a ninja story and decided to do it inside his hero story, and it feels very out of place.
I would love to see a continuation, and I feel like the staff ( at least the director ) also want to continue this anime considering how they added small stuff here and there when it comes to character interaction and foreshadowing for future plot point in latter arc, but sadly, it's not for them to take the decision. I want to see the ass of my favorite non-binary french hero animated god damit

I don’t think I liked this quite as much as the first season, but it’s not significantly worse by any means. I think this show’s greatest strength is with character relationships, and that was still the best part of this season with the village trio.

That was fun. I hope for a season 3. It did a good job wrapping up the arc but there is still more. Good to see the heroes catch a good win. I think what I like about this season the most is Shy's character development and growth as a hero. They have a done a good job of making you like Shy. It's not MHA but you can tell Shy is done by people who care about making a good show.
I haven't updated in years but now I have changed that. I'll be free soon.

Shine is definitely Shy's older sister who died. I want to know more about her.

Mai's sendoff scene was beautiful, she didn't make it after all and Tokimaru was that crane. Kufufu got caught, that dragon retard was annoying till the end. Shy saved the world and the heroes will always be there when they need them. Nice season finale actually.

This season was a mixed bag for me but the last two episodes, specially the finale were much better and made me actually want more of this. Prolly gonna pick up the manga if we don't get a third season announcement.

Man what a show, To firstly talk about the season itself, I'd say I liked this season more than the first, I loved Mai and Ai's characters so much they're so well done, Mai's final moments were so dam sad I cried, Losing my favourite character other than Teru again was really sad, Last season I grew to love tzveta so losing my second favourite character twice is just depressing. But at least we never lost Teru. I really hope we see Ai again in the future though. We even got some rare footage of Piltz not in hero form.

Interesting that Kufufu basically just gave herself up, Maybe she's sick of being the villain. We finally got to see the hero who I believe has been Teru's idol, If I remember right Teru had an acrylic of her and we got that little image of shy as a kid looking up to the previous hero of Japan. Terns out her name was Shine, Which honestly before this episode I thought she was a dude but I guess not. I noticed this episode that Unilord wears heartshift bracelets so I wonder if she has her own powers, Hell she might even be Shine they look similar.

I'm happy we got a final moment of Shy being Shy and then one with Iko. While it took the entire episode I'm also happy we got one last moment with Stigma and the group. Seems as if he's personally targeting Teru now.

Overall an amazing season 10/10. I'm not expecting a season three but its very much welcome, Although I'm probably gonna pick the manga up now. As someone who hates superhero stories like marvel and stuff this show really stand out as something I love.

The finale was pretty good IMO although it was a shame that Mai didn't make it. I actually thought for a second that Tokimaru was going to sacrifice his life to save Mai to, in a way, return the favor since they had saved him but it was not meant to be. I wonder what will happen to that dark sword as it seems to corrupt anyone that handles it, maybe it can be combined with the light sword to become neutralized or something.

Regarding Kufufu, I think she got caught on purpose and is probably tired of the life she's living with Stigma, or she sees a bit of her old friend Tzveta within Pepesha (Spirit) since that was Pepesha's mother. Whatever her reason, I would like to see a follow-up involving those 2 that's for sure. Anyways, I liked S2 about as much as I liked S1 and I hope that a S3 is announced soon.

I guess Mai had to die to redeem herself for the villagers she killed in the Shinobi camps. Probably inevitable, still a surprise that the dome was the darkness from her heart/soul. Sorry, someone actually cut some onions, I'm having trouble seeing at the moment.

I liked so much this season, loved Ai and Mai, it is unfortunate Mai had to die but she had done to many terrible things and she was carrying to much on her shoulders, at the very least she got to leave as herself and fix her relationship with Ai, I hope there is more because it only got more and more interesting, the tease of the other heroes, the new villains, Shine and Kufufu who got captured.

Another fun romp with a lot more surprises over the first season.

This Shine character is clearly setting up for the next season, along with the investigation into Kufufu's heart. Are we supposed to guess that Unilord was Shine?

I especially love the way Piltz always reacts to Shy's shows of diffidence with dismissive scolding. Her love language is clearly "you're an absolute idiot if you can't see your immense worth." With how cheesy so many other interactions come off, that characterization feels sincere.

@Phantom_373 You said exactly what I mostly wanted to say. I normally don't enjoy hero shows, but I immensely enjoy this one. I'm kinda curious if Kufufu gave up because of Spirit, or she is going to be a trap. Stigma might have done something with her and wanted her to infiltrate in hero headquarters. I can't wait for another season! =)

@Moppit While a lot more shows nowadays are getting multiple seasons honestly I don't think this show will get a season three cause I don't think it is popular enough to receive one, Which really sucks.

I'm pretty sure the only reason it got a second season was because they planned to do 2 seasons before the first one even aired.

Regardless I really pray this gets a third season, and if not I'm gonna buy the manga

@jekfrumstotferm Pepesha in the first half was just a more interesting character than Ai and Mai. This cour just felt a bit odd adding in a bunch of new characters when there were already characters introduced earlier on that weren't really explored yet.

Kufufu took one for the team so that the others could escape.
Maybe her heart can be saved after all.
Sad to see Mai disappear just as turned back into who she truly way.
Great to see how much support Shy has from the others, just goes to show how far she has come.
Another very good season from start to finish.

@Phantom_373 I know there will probably not be a 3rd season.I figure I'll wait a couple of months for an announcement. If there isn't one, I'll probably end up reading the manga. I really like this series and really hope for a 3rd season.

I really do hope this show gets more seasons, as someone who's read the manga there's a lot of good stuff in there I want to see adapted. Plus, I mean the series is clearly popular, the manga has 25 volumes, an official English localization (Which goes for the anime as well) and the show thusfar has only done one volume per season so there's a lot to pull from (Though granted, I don't expect the studio to do a full season for every single volume of the manga, it's not Naruto after all)

Also this may be the cynic in me but I am 100% certain that Shine is going to end up being
in the end. The set up is just too perfect.

Pretty good finale; even if the show kind of suffered a lot in the middle it still resolved the twins' story in a bittersweet but cool way. Shy got some recognition, even if she was super neurotic in the interviews lol. Idk, not as good as S1 and I hope the story improves from here since as of now it's a decent watch but nothing to write home about.

It's just so hard to care about some of these characters. The villains are obnoxious and are either evil for the sake of being evil or are easily turned by the famous talk no jutsu. Like, can we fight? This is a super hero show.

Awww this was tragic. After all the struggle lil sister died anyways. Guess with all the supernatural around, death isn't that sad or tragic in this world after all. Also, she did kill people so I don't know how well her return to village would've been met. Anyways, the show went a long way to make her death "comforting". It wasn't too sad.

Dunno. I think I enjoyed S2 more than S1. Would certainly watch more of this. I want to see what happens with Kufufu. She's so lost and depressed. Hopefully we're introduced to more heroes too. Shouldn't there be like 1 hero per nation at least? 1 thing I disliked in S1 and now as well, is how small the world feels. It's as if there are just 10-15 heroes in the entire world or something.

I didn't expect Mai to fade after the battle. But I should of known considering how things ended with the last arc. This finale was good. Shy gained a bit of fame from the media because of how she led the hero effort. The way of the shinobi will have a positive future, and Kufufu got captured.

I really enjoyed this season! Hope we get more of Shy!

I feel Mai lose her ability to stay in any physical form would have been more impactful on previous episode yet that wouldnt have left much to show here on this one hmm. Still made me teary though. Now Ai doesn't have her nee-san :(

Kufufu is imprisoned to be looked into the effects of those rings it seems.

I would totally watch another season if it got one and im around still
