| Entire episode just for a speech? I mean, it wasn't bad I liked it, but I didn't feel anything special in particular, maybe I just wasn't in the right mood. Emilia connection is nice. Everyone trusting Subaru is nice. Al carring about Subaru as another normal person was nice. Speech was... well certainly long start, I could do without all that apologizing and self-reflecting at the start, Natsuki Subaru, spiritmancer who defeated Witch cult of Sloth etc something something around it would be enough for me. But hey, player 2, Reinhart von Astrea has join the game. Now let's the fun begins! We have quite lot archbishops to slay! Edit: Man this was extended runtime as well? I thought it just feels that way. |

that speech was amazing
it really shows how much subaru has grown as a person
Some LN Extra Details (Volume 18 Chapter 2.5-3 & 4.7-4.8 )
- Something about Al reminds Emilia of Subaru after the call is done
- Al complained that he prioritized carrying Emilia's message over looking for Priscilla
- Subaru realized Al's behavior is very unusual lately, probably because of the emotion amplification by Wrath Authority
- After Garfiel grabbed Al, he casted doubt on Garfiel on why he kept calling Subaru `Chief/General` without knowing it's worth and if he really knows why is he calling him that
- Subaru calmed Garfiel that he didn't mind being called that and was used to it.
- Anastasia noted that Subaru is totally off the speech script after the beginning part.
- Anastasia also joked if Subaru was a con artist before he became a knight, seeming on how he perfectly bring people to spirit despite being off-script
Differences from LN
- Emilia's moment with Al is described as flashback
- Fred (Garfiel's lil bro) is sleeping before the speech starts
- When Otto shows up, he wants to high five Garfiel, but ended up being bearhugged by him strongly that Otto is writhing in pain.

| As someone not from our world Emilia wouldn't get the prince on a white horse saying. Didn't even realize it was an extra long episode until it was over. First 15 minutes or so were lowkey a Subaru glaze off xD(I liked Al's part in all of this the most) But credit where credit is due. Subaru was the right one to deliver an inspiring speech with his right amount of awakwardness. Good job, son. You've come a long way. |

| I’m not gonna lie. I was sniffing and crying little by little of that speech. I was really moved by those words. Makes me want to listen to it all over again. Man I can’t stop being emotional or crying. Does that mean I am weak? 🥲. All I can say is that it was an awesome speech and episode. Dang man. I hope that someone puts this as most inspiring emotional speech. And I see this as one of the best scenes of anime 2024. |

| Tatacaw! Not quite Erwin levels of speech but this fits subarus character, I was wondering if he was going to bring up that he beat a sin archbishop at all. Also yeah the animation is great now, it really only was the first ep with below average production levels. Which is only natural consodering that it was an entire movie?! | Knew this episode was gonna smack when I saw that it was extended length, and what a fantastic episode it was indeed. That speech was incredible, Subaru has grown so much and come so far since the beginning of this series. Easily one of the top episodes this show has ever put out, I'm so hyped for the next one. We have never been so back ladies and gentlemen. |

| I didn't even notice the episode was 30 minutes long xD Just proves how captivating this episode was. Big speech episode. Overal 5/5 but i dont think its better than lusts episode. |

| This was a really good set up episode for what's to come. I like how Emilia was trying to talk some sense in to 187. She obviously has some kind of plan for the wedding. That was a great speech by Subaru, he reached the hearts of the people. |
