Categorisation of proposals

At the moment, we seem to have five "Motions and requests by the parties". Are these proposed findings of fact? Remedies? Enforcement? A few of them seem to be relating content issues, a few seem to have elements that ArbCom can deal with - if there are some actual proposals, could the proposers move them to the locations, so everyone else has some idea of what you're actually asking of the ArbCom so we can comment and help improve them. --Nema Fakei 15:59, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, I wasn't sure that I was able to add to those sections. I moved my "motion and request" to the section and added some to the principles, findings of fact, remedies, and enforcement. In general, a "motion" is a suggestion that the arbitrators need to take action that would be effective during the case (as opposed to the final decision that takes effect when the case is closed). A "request" would be something like "I'm taking a trip and will be on wikibreak for the next week, can we put this on hold until I get back." In this case, all of the items in this section probably should have been in the proposed final decision section lower on the page. But, people should not worry too much about this sort of thing, because the arbitrators understand that most editors aren't familiar with the format and don't worry too much about this sort of thing. Content discussion on project pages

Although I'd very much like to make points, answer questions, and provide evidence on any content issues that are brought up within the discussion on the main Arbitration case pages, I am also aware that these are distractions from the issues at hand. I think these issues would be more helpful and accessible on the respective article pages - or on User Talk pages.
