I have manual fail selected but when I hold ctrl to fast forward it skips straight past them and automatically selects "pass" every time

Took another gander at the options menu, uncheck the "autoplay skips checks" too.
My bad.
Because I like the game enough to want to give the dev some money for their work... and I don't like Itch.io or Patreon so those are a no go...

You download windows, linux or mac, there will be a .exe file. When a new update releases, you download only the java and paste the java into your folder, that updates the game

I am playing on android, where is the json located? I dont know if this is possible for android version
In-game, Export the save/profile and it will create a JSON file. Edit it with an app like Json Genie and import it In-game
LOL no, you dont need anything that elaborate, just normal notepad or notepad++ is enough for you to edit the JSON file
He was talking about Android. For me, it can't even open the file without an app
Just enable cheat mode in the options. You can force encounters and endings with it too, so it's only skill checks and progression that scenes will be gated by!
