I gotta say it. Its about soda and corn syrup.
If you read the ingredients of Coke or Pepsi in the U.S., you will see no sugar or pure cane sugar listed. Only High Fructose corn Syrup. And there is a difference in taste, trust me on this.
Remember around 88 0r 89 when Coco-Cola changed to New Coke?. It sucked and thousands wrote to Coke to bring back the REAL THING. They did about 8-10 months later and called it Coca-cola Classic(name change for legal reasons?), But it was different, no more sugar instead corn syrup.
I believe the whole NEW COKE thing was a ploy to change the ingredients, without many noticing, just as I believe ESPN is tapping into our thoughts( bad joke.....or is it??)
Anyhoo, My Freinds dad stashed cases of the original coke before the took it off the market and when the "classic" came back we had a taste test and there was a BIG difference.
Also, having spent much time in South America where Coke and Pepsi still use sugar and not cheapass corn syrup, I now know it to be true.
Down there the soda or pop for you midwesterners, Has a much more crisp, bold, intense flavor, Not like that slimey feeling watered down half flat stuff they sell in the states.
