| If you don't enjoy the main theme/premise of the show, then it might not be for you. The formula isn't going to change up that much in the first season. I thought it kept getting better as the show went on, but I enjoyed it right from the start, so I don't know if that's really helpful or applicable to you. |

| If you aren't sold on episode 1, you probably won't like the rest. There are some new characters, and some good romantic moments later on, but almost the entire series is built around 1 joke. |

It really focuses on the comedy part more, developments will come but it takes its time to do that. I get where you're coming from coz I have been in the same situation. Kaguya-sama was one of the first romance anime I was suggested (at the time I had just watched famous shonens or other action or psychological thriller based shows) and the first opinion I had after finishing the show was "Why is this so overrated". At the time I used to rate shows very high, yet both S1 and S2 didn't go above 7 for me so I thought it wasn't for me. Then I got into other rom-coms like Oregairu, Golden Time etc.,which is by far different than Kaguya-sama actually. I really liked those and after about 2 months I picked up the Kaguya-sama manga from where S1 left off(even though I had already watched S2). And guess what?? 😂😂 The anime which I once called overrated,that very same thing had me rolling coz of the comedy. Right now, I'm actually a full-fledged Kaguya-sama fan...the later parts of the manga is so good rn I rate it at 9/10 and it has got one of the best written side casts. And the comedy's really good too. So if you're just starting with romance I'd suggest you to start with something more generic. Then watch Oregairu that show is a really good one,and it's based on deep and heavy dialogues. May be after you get into the rom-com genre returning to this will help you like it did with mine?? You can try out the manga too coz it's goated. Since you have shows like Naruto, AoT, Code Geass on ur list I can kinda relate to what's happening to u rn coz I was totally hooked into those at one point of time. |
| No not really, the anime does really stay the same and it does get very repetitive (at least for me). Each season though, does have 1-2 episodes were the characters get some development which is nice, but aside from that, this is just a mind game romcom. |

| Season 1 is a solid 4/10. It gets better on Season 2 mainly cus that annoying narrator shut his mouth a bit, Kaguya is less inconsistent and Ishigami character arc has interesting moments although I don't like him at all. |
